It gives me pleasure in announcing I have completed the first draft of my autobiography and memoire, which took me over a year to write the first draft coming out to close to 145K words, but that is just the beginning as I will surely be adding pictures and additional chapters like the forwards and afterwards.
Deciding to break it down into two books actually such as the early years and later years up to date. This book was very personal to me as I put all out there and once I publish give those who read it , the picture of me, my thoughts, values and my life.
One may think that why would someone like myself write a autobiography, I am a nobody, not a celebrity or public figure, what could I possibly bring to the world in my words. The truth is I didn’t write for myself, but really meant to be a historical account of my life for my wife and daughter, so if it in the case I am no longer here, they will have a history, an ancestry to look back at.
I am most likely going to title the book “The Forgotten Boy” with some addition of Chapter 1 and 2 or the first book will just be the “The Forgotten Boy” and the second will have chapter 2. This may sound familiar as what is done in movies and films that have multiple parts, like one of my favorite films “IT”, breaking it out in two books. I contemplated making it one book, but really each book has its own focus.
I am going to let the book breath for a little bit before I begin the editing process and see where I go from there. Hopefully I can get the first book self-published by early to mid next year and the 2nd part in later half of the year.
