Modern Day Dystopian Society is here!
Some may find it silly to compare books to modern day events and even history, but have found books foretelling of future events. A few of those books are those of Dystopian genres like George Orwell’s 1984 and Raymond Bradbury Fahrenheit 451. I am particularly drawn to Orwell for some of the predictions he had written about and although they are not 100% spot on in today’s world, they come pretty close.
Bradbury’s Dystopian world details a world where books are outlawed, and firemen burn the books. Today are we in a modern-day book burning, which is nothing new as books carry a powerful message which is why today and in the pass books have been banned. Today in the United States, book banning seems more common as society is fearful that books will indoctrinate those who read, especially those books that have LGBTQ themes.
I am not in agreement that books should be banned but have heard of some books that exist on topics that explore topics that most would find risqué and not appropriate for children especially.
As an author of my self-published books, I could literally write almost any kind of book and publish it to the world. Although as self-published, I don’t have the audience of those writers who are with the big agencies.
Books are a Picture Into the Future and Past
Books have been used to bring us new worlds and ideas in ways that we can not get elsewhere, even in blogging, my writing and books are a way I can create worlds, people, situations that we may not be able to imagine and hope every come to fruition.
Orwell’s 1984 is one of those books that we hope never fully come to realization but pieces of it seem like today. One of those that I think of is Orwell’s 1984 Thought Police. Depicted as secret police that monitors and punishes citizens for “thoughtcrime” – unapproved thoughts and beliefs that challenge the ruling party.
In a real-world example, which could include people or groups that enforce ideological conformity by suppressing differing viewpoints, often through social pressure or in more extreme historical cases, actual surveillance and control.

The New Thought Police is here
Who do I consider the equivalent of thought police, well none other than billionaire Peter Thiel Palantir Technologies, a publicly traded data mining software company. Providing data analysis of governments and businesses. Currently providing services to the Department of Defense and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Now for the most part we ALL know we are being watched by our own government such as the NSA, FBI, CIA and most three letter agencies all in the name of protecting the public from foreign and domestic threats. Under the current administration, war has been set on the immigrants and those who speak out against the government, turning to a modern day North Korea and China.
Most recent events are that of Charlie Kirk’s murder and those who have pubically spoken about it such as through social media have been met with hostility, especially by our own government, J.D. Vance for instance, the U.S. V.P made note that anyone that was known to celebrate Kirk’s death, should be reported to that persons employer to be fired. If that is not the modern day thought police I don’t know what it is, turning citizens into thought police and reporting on fellow citizens.
This is just another event that will be used to stifle free speech, to control the narrative of truth as this is already happening with the free press, only now its being sanctioned by the U.S. Government.
Individuals have faced public shaming and social consequences just for speaking out in disagreement with Kirks racist undertones in his speeches and Podcasts among other things, people have gotten fired and against with more recent events with Jimmy Kimmel getting his show removed from stations over a joke that he made, really what happened to free speech.
Unfortunately that is a misconception free speech doesn’t really exist in society as today we live in a social world where if someone doesn’t like my views, beliefs, comments I can be fired, instead of having respect for my views that seems to be gone, and lets be sure not to criticize our fearless leader and leaders of our US government. Some critics have referred to such agencies like USCIS as thought police due to their alleged ability to deny immigration applications based on vaguely defined “Anti American” ideologies.
This is where were are today folks. Due to this reason, I have even decided to remove myself from LinkedIn as I am fearful, I cannot even express the simplest uncontroversial views without fear that someone could tag my employer jeopardizing my job. Being that live in the social media age, the internet age, nothing leaves the internet.
Censorship, So Watch what you say!
We are coming to an age that I fear my ability to blog and write books will be removed as even some novel ideas and storylines could be considered controversial. Today our current administration is taking a page out of the Authoritarian playbook to siffle free speech and if people don’t comply can be imprisoned or even killed for going against the regime.

It could be a matter of time before we have a version of Thought Crime, which refers to any thought that is not in line with the Party’s principles, even if never expressed. Maintaining control. There have been modern examples such as Tokubetsu Koto Keisatsu (special higher Police) in pre-WWII Japan or the Stasi in East Germany who police pollical ideologies.
For those Citizens of the U.S. like me we also have much to fear, and no one is safe, which is by design to live in fear. Fear is goal and many people are scared, especially the innocent migrants who are just trying to survive and live and unable to be unable to do so.
We are living in terrible times, as we look around in the world, the world’s governments and leaders look to have one goal to keep the people under control, silence dissenters and make people compliant, very much like countries such as Russia.
Keep raging against this machine as many are becoming compliant to this regime, but thankful for those who have the platforms to speak out against those in power.
If you haven’t read Orwell’s 1984, highly encouraged read, along with Fahrenheit 451 and any other Dystopian novel as you will see how our world continues to mimic those worlds.

What I find interesting to say that least is that our Government wishes to silence the truth sayers, the ones who point out the indiscretions of those who commit crimes, shining a light on a President who is 34 time convicted Rapist felon, but don’t talk about that because frankly those who attempt to silence us will always say well, no one is perfect, he is a good man, he has a good fearing heart, a loving father, husband, blah, blah, blah… bull shit.
Having grow up with a bully most of my life, a man who only cares about himself, as the man was a so-called grandfather who berated me, my mother and sister for decades, unfortunately we lived with him, but he is dead now, since 2016, good riddance I say. I may not be dancing on his grave because I know where he is, burning in hell.
As a Christian we don’t want others to go to Hell because frankly we all deserve hell, but its those who believe in the father above who spend eternity in Heaven. Our current President can only wish he will go to Heaven, but others will argue how do I know he will not be there, I don’t because I am not GOD, but doubt he will ever bow to anyone. People can pray all they want, but he has lived a life preying on others and will meet his maker one day like the rest of us.
I look to have hope in this country but I doubt it will get any better, sadly it hurts me to say that because I have a young daughter who is going to grow up in this even more rotten world, because we live in a country that only wish to control, manipulate, spin the truth, lie, cheat, steal, where morals and ethics are just a concept to most. Welcome to Dystopia Amerika.
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
