From Halloween to Doll Parts: Horror Inspirations That Shape My Novels

As we enter the autumn season, often associated with themes of mystery and suspense, I reflect on my long-standing appreciation for the horror genre. From a young age, I have drawn inspiration from classic films such as “Halloween,” “The Exorcist,” “Child’s Play,” and “Nightmare on Elm Street.” These influences, along with elements of crime, the supernatural, and the paranormal, continue to shape my writing.

I am particularly proud of two works: *Pounds of Flesh* and *Doll Parts*. Each book is distinct, and I hold both in equal regard, as they were written during challenging periods and reflect different aspects of my creative journey. *Pounds of Flesh* is a supernatural thriller infused with criminal intrigue, temporal shifts, and paranormal themes. It is among my most graphic novels, both in content and in its evocative cover design, and includes personal elements intended to immerse the reader in unusual settings, including historical periods like the old West.

*Doll Parts*, my latest publication, departs from the supernatural, focusing instead on a straightforward crime mystery. The narrative centers around Paul Hein, a Vietnam veteran whose story presents complex layers and intriguing character development.

Both titles are available through major online retailers. I appreciate your support and hope that you find these works engaging and thought-provoking.
