The Spirit of Vengeance That Forgot How to Die
Once a boy named Chiba Narimasa, born into a family of swordsmen in Kesen Mura, his life was shattered when his entire family was murdered while he was out hunting. Adopted into the Chiba clan, he mastered Hokushin MusΕ ryΕ« β but mastery could not quiet grief.
At fifteen, he left home seeking vengeance. He found it. He drowned in it.
Chiba slaughtered the murderers and their families, dishonoring his adoptive father’s name. For years he carved a path of blood across Japan until he was killed at twenty-eight by the boy he once spared.
Death did not stop him.
His spirit continued to mutilate victims for over a century β slicing, decapitating, and dismembering to prevent identification. Only then could the innocent enter their heaven.
Captured once, imprisoned in Doomroq, he eventually escaped.

The Handsome Killer Who Strangled With Silk
In the 18th and early 19th century, Brunei knew only one serial killer β a man whose charm masked a monstrous appetite.
Known as The Thug of Brunei, he murdered over a thousand victims using a ceremonial cloth called a rumΔl, sewn with a hidden medallion that crushed throats when tightened. He wined and dined his victims β mostly women β before strangling them.
Handsome. Well dressed. Respected by the Sultan. And secretly drenched in blood.
Executed in 1820, his spirit did not rest. It haunts Brunei still β invisible, swift, faceless, shifting between ages and forms.
Luka tracks him to an abandoned theme park, Jerudong Park, where the spirit attempts to strangle him with an unseen force. Only Yosef’s raven intervenes long enough for Luka to fight back.
Using a jeweled blade and a magical cummerbund, Luka binds the spirit and captures him β another victory carved from terror.

The Necromorph That Evolves to Kill
The Creeper is one of the oldest Necromorphs β a species formed from corpses, dead tissue, and remnants of beings long forgotten.
Its body is a nightmare:
- A long, slender torso
- Spider-like legs like twisted branches
- Tentacled arms
- A skull perched on a stretched neck
It can reshape itself in seconds, survive in lethal environments, and only be stopped through dismemberment.
The Creeper carries horrors unique to its kind:
- Bioluminescent tumor sacs filled with explosive bile
- No brain, no intelligence β only instinct
- The ability to telepathically disrupt human minds
- A hunger that, when unfed, turns it into a fleshless husk
It has claimed thousands of victims. It has escaped Doomroq for nearly two centuries. It is one of the deadliest spirits Luka will ever face.
And Luka must face it alone.
π Jolly Old
The Christmas Spirit That Should Never Have Been
Once a man named Phillip J. Northridge, he lived in Wrightwood, California, loved Christmas, and resembled Saint Nick β portly belly, white beard, warm smile.
But behind the smile was a monster.
Phillip murdered over a hundred children, entering homes through chimneys and abducting them in a reinforced sack. Freed on a technicality, he was eventually butchered and fed to bears by grieving families.
His spirit did not die.
Now known as Jolly Old, he haunts children during winter solstice, killing them in their sleep on Christmas Eve. He grows stronger each year, slipping between dimensions, always hunting.
Unlike the others, Jolly Old has no image β some spirits refuse to be captured, even in art. His form shifts with the season, the snow, and the fear of the child he’s hunting.
Luka tracks him into the mountains β snow, silence, and the threat of a sack large enough to swallow him whole.
This hunt is personal. This hunt is cruel. This hunt tests Luka’s courage more than any before.
