Weekly Feature#6: Stories from a Child’s Past: All About Zuogie – Reintroduced

As an reintroduction of my childhood written stories it amazed me the ideas I came up at around age twelve. I was still a young writers learning my craft but having an appreciation even at that young age. This story was no different but involves a snake in this sorry. Personally I dont have a great deal of love for snakes, creepy sinister animals although you pet loves whose had snakes will probably tell me they are good pets. The closet reptilian I have ever had in my childhood was an Ignanua with three legs and that things was mean. I dont mean him I didnt know how to care for that type of animal and who wouldnt be mean with three legs.

This Ignaua was given to me by my 8th grade teacher Ms. Carey she was my dramatic arts teacher at the time, lovely women who I will never forget. But anyways this sorry revolves around a family of snakes. I always felt family was important , even today I think family is vital to our development and our support system. Although Mom and Dad were in my life, they werent always there for me in the way I needed. I mean SOB of a grandfather who raised me when could care less about the importance of family, which is why in this sorry I probably questioned those who loved me at that young age.

Take a peek into this weeks story and enjoy the ride into my childhood.

Welcome to this Weeks Weekly Feature number #6, Stories from a child’s past, Stories unearthed from my childhood. These stories I am sharing as a young child I had and continue to have a love for writing. The writings so far seemed to be when I was in between the ages of ten to thirteen. Many of the examples I provided do have typos, run on sentences and grammatical errors so don’t be surprised if see those.

As a young writer I just loved to write, putting aside punctuation, good sentence structure and my English teach would probably be lecturing me right now, you may want to lecture me, but know this is where my love began.

Joining for the first time, please take a look at my previous Weekly Features.

This week is called All About Zuogie a Snake family who resembles a young snake and its all about him. Isn’t that the case with many young snakes. Not sure why I write about snakes so often, I have never owned one, but in my mind I guess I liked them, but now snakes creep me out and would never want to be around, so for those snake lovers I apologize.

Written Work

The original Story Transcribed

Now Zuogie is a snake and a very nice snake and one morning he woke up happy because it was his birthday because he knew he just became a new character on the block of new town and one day he was working down to the corner store to a buy a soda pop and so he went and he saw the other animals smoking and Zuogie said why do you smoke and the animal man said “What do you care Zuogie” and Zuogie said “Don’t you know that can damgage your lungs” and the Animal man said said “I don’t have lungs” and Zuogie said “Impossible”and the Animal man Said “I’m a ghost” and Zuogie got so scared he ran home fast as his tail could carry him and so as soon as he got home he jumped into bed and covered his head with his blankets and stay there for about five minutes.

Now Let’s talk about Zuogie he was a nice snake and gives lots of love to his family and loves them a lot and goes to third grade and he is very smart but he’s only sad about one thing that his friends doesn’t like him that much because he’s got a big nose and tell tells the teacher and she says it doesn’t matter how you look and then they become friends again. And he like rich because his mother and father give him lots of toys and clothes and he thinks they love him a lot but he wants to find out so one day he goes up to his father and mother and asks them and they just laugh and laugh and tell him they love him very much and then he starts to cry because doesn’t believe them and say you got to believe it and they say we already did and Zuogie says how and his mother’s says we buy everything but there are things I want for you to believe is his mother and father say together how!!!

Zuogie said buy me a new bike and they said ok, and then said to got to take care of it and he said ok. And so they got in there car and drove to the nearest toy store to buy it when they first walked in they asked the lady where the bikes and she said in the back and they went down the line of toys he  always wanted and Zuogie sees a toy he always wanted and asked dad if he can buy the toy too and fathers says no and he said they came to buy a bike so he starts to and made a big scene in the front of all of the people and his parents had to buy him the toy to make him stop crying and so they buy it for him and the bike too and now they were broke because of the toy and so he feels sad because he made his own family broke and they got their pay checks on the 19th of April and it was April 1st and he thought of a way to make money and he would have a yard sale for parents ok and when he told them they thought it was a good idea and so they did it to put some money in their pockets for a while and his able to buy more food for them to eat and so it was night his mother called time to go to sleep and so the whole fhamily go to sleep at the same time and that all for today and good night.

Synopsis

This story has a little more within what someone in my age group would write about a snake name Zuogie and his family. It all begins when Zuogie questions that his family loves him. Going to his mother and father he asks them if they love Zuogie they laugh, because of course they love him. Zuogie doesn’t believe them and wants them to prove their love.

Zuogie seems very spoiled and gets anything he wants, but asks his parents to buy him a a new bike and they agree. Taking him to the toy store Zuogies finds a toy he always wanted and his parents say “NO”, Stating they can only afford the bike Not both. When Zuogie hears this he has a tantrum in the store embarrassing his poor parents, so they are forced to buy both.

After buying both toy and bike, his parents are broke and Zuogie feels bad because now his parents wont have money for two weeks April 1st to April 19th, which seemed very specific as a date.

To make things better Zuogie has an idea and wants to have a yard sale to help his parents get some money and they think that’s a great idea. Finally they have a yard sale and everything seems to be better now. Zuogie and family end their day by going to sleep.

The Spoiled Boy and Love

Looking at his story reminded greatly of myself , questioning my parents love for me. Many times I don’t remember them telling me I love you, as they did also tend to buy me a lot of toys and I usually got what I wanted and like many children I had my tantrums but more subtle not how Zuogie completely embarrassed his family in the store.

I know my parents loved and love me even though they didn’t say it often they showed it. As a parent I make a point to tell my daughter regularly I love her never questioning our love for her.

I hope you enjoyed this week, seeming like a theme to my stories, but I will leave that interpretation up to you. Until next week friends, Thank you for joining in on this weeks feature.

This sorry was one like many probably had significance to how I was feeling in my family at the time. Raised by my mother and grandfather although I saw dad every other weekend for his visituation but for the most part it was myself, mother, sister and grandfather. This sorry was probably my way of seeking answers to who loved me and if I was loved. I have always had an appreciation for a family, even raising mine today I wanted to be sure I always support my wife and daughter everyday but Know I have failed them at times.
